about
Daniel and Asia wrote this song for our church in New Orleans, post-Katrina. We were reading Isaiah, and God just downloaded the melody to us. When we played it during the service the following Sunday, the pastor was amazed because unbeknownst to us they had chosen Isaiah 58:12 as their mission statement after the storm.
you will rebuild the ancient ruins
rebuild, repair, restore
you will be called repairers of the breach
I will set a new foundation
you will fill in every hole
you will be called restorer of the streets
repairers of the breach
is this not the fast I have chosen
to lose the bonds fear
is this not the will of my Father
can anybody hear
you will satisfy the needs of the broken hearted
you will satisfy me
your lights will rise in the darkness
you'll finally be free
you will rebuild the ancient ruins
set the captives free
rebuild, repair, restore
I will set a new foundation
you will fill in every hole
you will be called restorer of the streets
repairers of the breach
